Hello Flyman,

please dont apologise, your English was fine. I am sorry I can't reply in Italian.

The material library on our website is only for 3ds Max.

In SketchUp Shaderlight adds further functionality to the materials, so once a material is applied to a model then Shaderlight can can change the type and finish of the material.

Currently in the beta version we have applied bump maps to the standard SketchUp materials, we are currently looking at ways to apply bump maps to custom materials.

I hope this helps.

Martin

Hi I'm also interested in the way you will implement bump maps. I've done a bit of fooling around in V-Ray as well, and they see m to need some kind of workaround for the bumpmaps; as soon as a material in SU does not have an image associated with it, the faces do not have UV-mapping, or only some kind of default UV-mapping. Therefore, they use a layered material, that has a transparent layer with the texture used for the UV-mapping, and another layer for the color, and a seperate bumpmap-image associated with it. I do not like this method, for it will turn the SU view of the bumped faces 100% transparent, which they are not in most cases.

The people from SketchUp kindly found a workaround to use for textures in dynamic components... might be of interest in this context. http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=3c69471e70eddc566ba41c97d8ad7572&prevstart=0

But perhaps I'm just repeating information you've already found ages ago :-)

Hi, this is my first post. I also noticed the need for a bump map. Is there any way around this? Thanks!

Keep up the good work Shaderlight team!

Thanks for all your posts, we have been working on a system that will give the ability to control the effect of the bump map on all textures in Shaderlight for SketchUp.

This will be in the full release of Shaderlight which will be available in September.

I will definitely be waiting for the final release. On the same note, I hope a GI solution would also be included especially for interior visualizations. Thanks.
