Someone should start a sticky for details on setting up a succesful render. I understand that there is a help section that documents all of this but in all honesty I feel that a thread would help explain it better (and breed discussion).

Just general settings that would bring about a "good" quality render... with best/bad practices and some explanations for when to use certain settings (like my render is.to fuzzy, shadows, HDRI etc)
