Displacement maps?!

I really like the Art pro materials in shaderlight. However I have recently adopted mudbox into my workflow and I have a quick question about shaderlight. If I have displacement maps for models from mudbox whats the best way to use them? Previously in Mental Ray I could just plop it on to my current material, or vray i would use the "vray displacement modifier"

At the moment Shaderlight only supports 3ds Max's displacement. To get the most out of this I recommend:

  1. Converting your mesh to an editable poly
  2. Use the Subdivision Surface parameters within the edit-poly menu to add mesh density
  3. Then use the Subdivision displacement menu within the edit-poly menu to fine tune the amount of detail taken from your displacement map
  4. Next add a 'Displace' modifier to your stack, make sure you check the 'Use Existing mapping checkbox' then simply add your exported displacement map to the image map slot and adjust the strength parameter to fine tune the result.
