Graphics Software Engineer (£30-40K per annum)

ArtVPS Ltd is an established 3D visualisation technology company based in Cambridge. The company develops photorealistic ray tracing software solutions for rendering 3D data for product designers, architects or 3D visualisers working throughout the creative media sector. 

We are looking for a talented software engineer to join our experienced team of software developers. This role will see you working in a tight-knit group of engineers working at the cutting edge of photorealistic computer graphics using both CPU and GPU technology.

Applicants must have clear experience or proven interest in computer graphics.

Essential skills:

* A degree in Computer Science or a related field

* A good knowledge of C or C++

* A strong interest in computer graphics and a high level of mathematical ability

* Good communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and within a team

Desirable Skills:

* Post graduate work in computer graphics

* Experience with writing Direct X, OpenGL or photorealistic shaders

* Experience with 3D modelling applications such as 3ds Max or Google SketchUp

* Experience with GPGPU platforms.

Application Software Engineer (£25-35K per annum)

ArtVPS Ltd is an established 3D visualisation technology company based in Cambridge. The company develops photorealistic ray tracing software solutions for rendering 3D data for product designers, architects or 3D visualisers working throughout the creative media sector. 

We are looking for a talented software engineer to join our experienced team of software developers. In this role you will be part of a tight-knit group of engineers with responsibility for the design and implementation of intuitive user interfaces and the integration of plug-in architectures for 3D modelling applications.

Essential Skills:

* A degree in Computer Science or a related field

* A good knowledge of C or C++

* Experience working with extendible or plug-in-based software platforms

* Interest and proven experience in GUI design and implementation

* A good knowledge of a high-level language such as Ruby, Python or JavaScript.

* Good communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and within a team

Desirable Skills:

* Experience in development for Mac OS

* Interest in computer graphics and photo-realistic rendering

* Experience in building dynamic user interfaces using HTML, CSS and JavaScript

* Experience with 3D modelling applications such as 3ds Max or Google SketchUp
