Help for Bathroom Render with Mirror

Hi,

I am trying to render a small enclosed (no windows) bathroom with a large mirror.

I have added 2 artificial overhead lights (with 1 I kept getting dark areas in either the shower or rest of the bathroom). I have the Shaderlight settings on a high resolution, interior render.

Yet, no matter what I do, I can’t get the mirror to look right and I keep getting grainy spots in the rest of the render.

Please look at my unrendered and rendered photos below.

Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.

Hello,

What are you using for the finish on the mirror?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I used the Sketchup material of translucent glass and added the mirror effect with Shaderlight materials editor.

Many thanks for your help.

I think Chris meant what kind of mirror effect, as in shiny/glossy it looks to me that you have used glossy?

That’s correct Shaun, I was wondering if it were a glossy finish.

Hi,

I did not know there was an option for mirror finishes; where is that located?

Thank you.

If you open the Shaderlight material ball and choose Type: Shiny, then Finish: Mirror.
