Shaderlight 2014 render contest winners announced

10 November 2014

This year’s Shaderlight render contest was the first to be judged solely by Shaderlight’s Facebook followers and it seemed that there was one very popular winner.

A total of 60 images were entered by Shaderlight users and were some of the best examples of Shaderlight rendering we’ve seen since starting these contests back in 2011.  With users able to submit a maximum 6 images to the contest, it was those entered by Duane Kemp that received the most ‘likes’ by our Facebook followers  – taking first, second and third places.

"Kate Marshall, Marketing Director said. “We would like to thank everyone for the time taken to render and submit images to this year’s contest.  The theme ‘inside outside, outside inside’ was interpreted in a variety of ways which enabled everyone to show off their interior and exterior rendering skills.  We couldn’t be more excited to see so many of our amazing customers continuing to produce work of outstanding quality using Shaderlight and SketchUp."

Due to this unprecedented white wash of the top three spaces, the Shaderlight team have decided to award an additional prize of $50 Amazon voucher and a full Shaderlight licenses to an image entered to this year’s contest that we choose to be our winner based on interpretation of the theme, technical ability and quality of the final image.

The Shaderlight team's winner for this year’s contest is Dane Wiid.

We hope you have enjoyed seeing the extraordinary capabilities of Shaderlight in the hands of some very talented people.  All of the images from this year's contest can be seen in our Facebook gallery.
