ArtVPS announce the release of Shaderlight 2016

18 November 2015

A new version of Shaderlight, the ever popular rendering plugin for Trimble SketchUp, has been launched today.  The new release includes some exciting new additions alongside full support for SketchUp 2016.

Hot on the heels of SketchUp 2016, also released today, Shaderlight 2016 is available to try and buy from www.artvps.com

Customers who purchased Shaderlight from September 1st 2015 will receive a free upgrade to this new release, and for a limited time, customers purchasing a full or upgrade license, will receive a 25% discount.*

Kate Marshall, Marketing Director at ArtVPS, explains what’s new. “We’ve spent a lot of time talking to our loyal customers about how they use Shaderlight and this release includes some exciting new additions to the Shaderlight rendering toolset alongside full support for SketchUp 2016.”

“The old skylight portal placement tool has been completely replaced so that any pre-existing face can be used as the portal template.  Providing increased flexibility, users can now draw arbitrarily shaped faces using any of SketchUp’s built-in drawing tools and then convert the face into a Shaderlight portal by clicking on it.”

“We’ve also added the ability for Shaderlight users to render Active Section Planes direct from SketchUp.  There are no complex workflows to follow, simply insert a section plane into your model and hit render – it’s that simple.”
