ArtVPS brings Shaderlight Cloud rendering in house

23 April 2016

Since its launch in 2012, Shaderlight Cloud rendering has been a cost effective way to deliver high quality renders and animations as well as enabling users to take on multiple projects.

Used by both large corporations as well as smaller firms, Shaderlight Cloud rendering enables companies of all sizes and budgets to offload their rendering overhead and free up individual machines.

The team at Shaderlight have been looking into ways to improve the service and the updates announced today are the first step in the development of Shaderlight Cloud rendering that will soon bring even faster, more affordable rendering on the cloud.

From today, new credits can be purchased through the ArtVPS web-store at: http://www.artvps.com/index.php/catalog/shaderlightcloudrendering and, when signing in to the Shaderlight Cloud dialog in SketchUp, customers will use their ArtVPS username and password to render using those credits.

Sending renders to the cloud remains unchanged and can be done in three simple steps:

1.      Specify the scenes to be rendered

2.      Review and accept price quote

3.      Wait for email notification when the render is completed

Customers who have existing credits in their Limitless Computing accounts can continue to sign in to the Cloud dialog using the email address and password associated with their Limitless Computing account to use those credits.

During the transition period, the user management and credit purchasing facilities within the SketchUp plugin will be unavailable. Please visit http://www.artvps.com/ to create user accounts and purchase rendering credits.

Kate Jackson, Marketing Director at ArtVPS commented “Our partnership with Limitless Computing has allowed us to successfully deliver Shaderlight Cloud rendering to our users for almost 4 years.  We are keen to develop the service for our customers and this is just the start.  Over the next 12 months we aim to deliver further time and cost savings to our customers using the cloud to render complex images and animations with Shaderlight.”
